A New Electric Jeep Wrangler Is Coming

The automotive industry is embracing the future of electric vehicles and a car brand that is ready to keep up with the EV competition is Jeep. The Jeep Wrangler started with the plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe, but the automaker is ready to expand this concept even further. A battery-electric version is coming, and will be known as the Wrangler EV by the 2028 model year. Even though the new Wrangler will be all-electric, it doesn’t mean it will derail it from being one of the best off-road vehicles out there.
Jeep plans to make the Wrangler EV’s off-road abilities even stronger because Jeep vehicles are famously known for their off-road capabilities. To clear up some confusion, the Jeep Recon is not an electric Wrangler and will be built on different platforms. Unfortunately, the exact price of the Jeep Wrangler EV isn’t known, but hopefully, more information will come out soon about this exciting new off-roader.
Embracing Electric Future
There is a significant change coming for Stellantis and all their dealerships because they are moving closer to their future in electrification. Stellantis is working with over 2,600 dealers about their transition to electric vehicle sales and services and is taking this transition very seriously to keep up with the competition.
“As we accelerate the drive toward electrification, Stellantis is in full-execution mode with an electrification strategy designed specifically to address the needs of our dealership network. We are working lockstep with our national dealer council to develop and support their long-term plans during this industry-changing transition. From business operations and inventory management to service centers and employee culture, our goal is to work directly with our dealers to best prepare for, be successful in and address any challenges they may face as the automotive industry continues to move toward electrification.” -Phil Langley, head of network development, FCA-North America
Some intense evaluations include necessary service upgrades, educating the staff of all dealerships, and installing incentive programs to help with EV integration costs. Stellantis is committed to becoming the best in fighting against climate change and reaching carbon net zero emissions by 2038. A big goal is set in place of having 100 percent of sales in Europe and 50 percent of sales in the U.S. be battery-electric. The company has hopes of offering more than 25 BEVs by 2030.

For the Jeep brand specifically, it is coming in hot with dominating the EV game and doing its best to beat out the other competition. Jeep introduced the first phase of becoming the best electrified SUV brand in the world and is very focused on what’s to come next for fully electric 4xe cars. Due to a product plan in the United States, 50 percent of Jeep brand sales will be completely electric by 2030. Whereas, 100 percent of European sales will be all-electric at that point.
